Room 14 and 15
It has been a busy few months in our special classes. Our second special class
officially opened in late October, so we have been spending the month getting to
know each other. The children have been working hard and looking forward to
Christmas!
Sensory circuits
Room 14 are completing sensory circuits with Ms. O’ Brien. This helps the children to
prepare for learning activities!
Cooking
The pupils in room 14 love to cook and bake! They have been showing the new
students our favourite recipes including crepes and homemade pizza!
Curriculum areas
Room 14 have been busy creating lots of lovely artwork the past few weeks! We also
looked at the seasons, revised our Maths skills from last year and worked on lots of
fine motor activities! The pupils in Room 15 are getting used to their new school and
enjoying using lots of new resources!
In art we are exploring creating with different materials. We tried out tin foil painting
which was a big hit!
We also made slime in Science which was messy but lots of fun!
We are continually improving our handwriting skills and love to recall our daily news
during handwriting sessions! Our new students are settling in too and the classes are
enjoying playing games together!
Special mentions
Room 14 have celebrated several birthdays since we started back to school! We had
a big birthday party to mark the occasion. A special mention to our amazing SNAs
who join in all our activities including our Dance breaks!
