Slán agus Beannacht le Mr Ó Casaide This week we must say a fond farewell to our Principal and our colleague Mr Seán Ó Casaide, after an inspiring 39 years in the teaching profession, 31 of which have been here in Scoil San Carlo Senior. His consistent contribution to the life of our school has been immeasurable. His positivity and professionalism, compassion and consideration, his infectious enjoyment of the job and his great sense of humour, will be sadly missed. We know the pupils and the whole community, together with our Board of Management and our Parents Association, join us in congratulating Mr Ó Casaide on his imminent retirement and in wishing him a well-deserved rest, followed no doubt by many wonderful and fulfilling adventures. Seán, it has been a privilege to work with you. Your outstanding leadership has seen us through difficult times and ever-changing circumstances. Thank you for all your hard work and perseverance, your commitment and fortitude which has inspired and encouraged us every day. Guíonn muid gach áth, sláinte an bhradáin agus sonas ort lá i ndiaidh lae. From all at San Carlo Senior On behalf of all the pupils, a representative from each class presented Mr Ó Casaide with a Fingerprint Tree to mark the occasion of his retirement. Each and every child and member of staff in the school had put their fingerprint on the piece of art. This week we have to say a sad farewell to our colleague and friend, Ms Mary Kirwan. Mary has been an important and valued member of our staff since 2015 and she will be greatly missed by us all and also by the many pupils she worked with over that time. On behalf of our school community, we want to say thank you to Mary for her wonderful contribution to the life of the school and to wish her all the best in her new life in Co. Wexford.
