Our school active week 2022 took place May 30th -June 3rd. We are very grateful to MU Barnhall Rugby Club,Liffey Celtic Basketball Club and Confey Gaa for their help in providing activities for our pupils over the course of the week and also to Fingal County Council for allowing use of St Catherines Park. Monday Our school started active week by walking down to St Catherines Park. We were lucky that the weather stayed dry throughout. Each class got 1 hour of fun activities with Luke which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Some of these activities included tag rugby, target practice and foot golf. Massive thanks goes to Luke and his helpers who organised and set up all activities for the children.

TUESDAY
On Tuesday the children had an action packed day with activities including circuits and basketball. The circuit stations were a big success with children enjoying performing squats, plank, burpees, sit ups and press ups. The whole school participated in this activity, and this added an excitement around the place with each class eagerly waiting their turn. Well done all and there was plenty of tired but happy faces at the end of the day. The second activity was basketball with Liffey Celtic. The basketball sessions were fun, engaging, and inclusive. The children got an opportunity to learn and practice basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting throughout. We extend our gratitude to Liffey Celtic Basketball for helping on the day.

THURSDAY
Our week finished on a high with Gaelic football blitzes down in Confey Gaa. The walk down to Confey Gaa was a nice treat with classes full of smiles and laughter. It was a fantastic day out and massive thanks to Conor Gordon for helping with the blitzes and for sourcing referees. The children then walked back to the school hungry and in need of a boost. That boost came in the form of the ice cream van and the refuelling mission started. The ice cream was welcomed by all and capped off a great week.
